Vibrational Sound Therapy

prenatal03.jpg

Vibrational Sound Therapy (VST) is a relaxation technique using sound and vibration from Himalayan singing bowls. Bowls are placed on the body while the client remains fully clothed. The sound and vibration together help induce you into a wonderfully meditative state. This healing service has profound effects on the body and mind.

Erika is certified in Vibrational Sound Therapy with the Vibrational Sound Association.

What can I expect in a Vibrational Sound Therapy session?

This service is only available in our Northeast location.

Most clients will begin to relax as soon as the session begins, and experience their breathing patterns and heart rate to slow as the body absorbs the waves of vibration into its tissues. As the heart rate slows, the cortisol levels and blood pressure will fall allowing the body to warm and optimize immune function.

VST is so gentle and relaxing that many clients fall asleep at some point during the session. Small tremors and shakes are common as the brain experiences the change in rhythm.

Above all, clients who experience this service undergo a deep state of relaxation and often report a feeling of mental freshness that they carry with them after the session is over. Relaxation and meditative states of mind have also been shown to increase the threshold for emotional response, and help our bodies be more internally aware while being more present and connected with the moment and our surroundings.
