03.31.21 // Life Re-Imagined: Creative Sparks Virtual Learning Bar

  • Spot Spa Minneapolis, MN (map)
Clear Creative Movement .jpg

This Virtual Springtime Learning Bar is serving double shots of Love: Art + Healing. It's time to re-connect, re-center, and re-orient with your Creative Self. It's time to reimagine our world, Friendly Souls.

In this simple, accessible 60+ Minute Virtual Learning Bar, Participants will be guided in a Mandala Art Therapy directive. Art helps us get clarity on what our priorities are in life; circles, like the Mandala, spark containment and evolution, with the opportunity for safe-feeling, non-linear processing.

To participate in this Virtual Learning Bar, all you need is:

  • a comfortable space with a surface to create on

  • water, paper/cardboard in any size

  • a round object to trace

  • basic art supplies (paints, watercolors, colored pencils, crayons - your choice!)

  • an open, willing spirit.

This is process-oriented and not about creating a “product.” You will be emailed a Zoom Link on the date of the event (03/31/21) to join.

Karen Leta Gillespie, Art Therapist + Energy Healer, will be your guide through this class.  Together, we will (metaphorically) plant seeds to grow your Creative practice. With this joyful, uplifting modality, sensations of grief, rage, numbness, and unmet desires activated by the Global Pandemic turn the ground fertile for new life and new beginnings.

About Karen:

Karen has the heart wisdom to know that people heal from within. Art Therapy unlocks self-limiting beliefs, calms reactivity, and recent studies indicate it could be a key element to trauma informed care.

Karen is an expert in CranioSacral Treatments, Child Integrative Health, holds a Master’s in Art Therapy, and a certificate in Somatic Psychology. She has been part of Spot Spa’s team for 16 years, and has been working with adults and children in their healing journeys for more than 25 years. When all touch therapies and bodywork came to a stop in March of 2020, Karen dug deep and formed new roots to support her clients’ growth with Integrative Art Therapy. She is thrilled to make this service available virtually, making healing once again accessible to many.
