03.31.21 // Life Re-Imagined: Creative Sparks Virtual Learning Bar

Clear Creative Movement .jpg

This Virtual Springtime Learning Bar is serving double shots of Love: Art + Healing. It's time to re-connect, re-center, and re-orient with your Creative Self. It's time to reimagine our world, Friendly Souls.

In this simple, accessible 60+ Minute Virtual Learning Bar, Participants will be guided in a Mandala Art Therapy directive. Art helps us get clarity on what our priorities are in life; circles, like the Mandala, spark containment and evolution, with the opportunity for safe-feeling, non-linear processing.

To participate in this Virtual Learning Bar, all you need is:

  • a comfortable space with a surface to create on

  • water, paper/cardboard in any size

  • a round object to trace

  • basic art supplies (paints, watercolors, colored pencils, crayons - your choice!)

  • an open, willing spirit.

This is process-oriented and not about creating a “product.” You will be emailed a Zoom Link on the date of the event (03/31/21) to join.

Karen Leta Gillespie, Art Therapist + Energy Healer, will be your guide through this class.  Together, we will (metaphorically) plant seeds to grow your Creative practice. With this joyful, uplifting modality, sensations of grief, rage, numbness, and unmet desires activated by the Global Pandemic turn the ground fertile for new life and new beginnings.

About Karen:

Karen has the heart wisdom to know that people heal from within. Art Therapy unlocks self-limiting beliefs, calms reactivity, and recent studies indicate it could be a key element to trauma informed care.

Karen is an expert in CranioSacral Treatments, Child Integrative Health, holds a Master’s in Art Therapy, and a certificate in Somatic Psychology. She has been part of Spot Spa’s team for 16 years, and has been working with adults and children in their healing journeys for more than 25 years. When all touch therapies and bodywork came to a stop in March of 2020, Karen dug deep and formed new roots to support her clients’ growth with Integrative Art Therapy. She is thrilled to make this service available virtually, making healing once again accessible to many.

Welcome to 2020! For the sake of entering into a new decade, it will be crucial that the heart stay full of love, and that the energetics of fear be broken down, understood, and then disregarded. The master key of the universe is the one that has been buried away deep by the old fear construct.

Herbal salves can provide support and relief with anything from minor cuts, scrapes and burns to dryness, rashes and bug bites. The magic of plants abounds!

Join us for a fun night of skin health, natural dyeing, herbal salve making and drinks, and you will leave with an herbal salve and one silk pillowcase that is crafted and tinted with colors from our natural landscape, made by your own hands!

Dissolve Your Ego

vanessa.jpeg

Join us for a meditation event to get past how your ego might be keeping you stuck—so you can face your truth.

The truth of who you are no longer desires living in a false world that your ego personality has created. It is instead craving to know that the angst you have been carrying around is no longer necessary and can be peeled away so you can enchant the planet with your grace. The ego is devaluing the very essence of your truth that is here to make BIG BIG impact.

That's why we need to bring this concept to light—so we can help you become aware and awake enough to recognize what is actually true and what is false. Your inability to ask for what you need is the ego's way of keeping you stuck. To go beyond the ego is not popular, but it's the TRUTH that's lifting the emotional veil on the planet so we can actually start facing what is real.

In this Learning Bar, Vanessa Feils, life stylist, will walk you through ways to identify qualities of your ego, along with tips and tricks to prevent it from running your life. She will then move the group into a MindTravel Guided Meditation experience so you can access your truth!

Tickets are non-refundable, but can be transferred to another individual. If you have a conflict arise, please call us at 612–823–7768 to inquire about transferring your ticket to someone else.

Forgive the Inner Child & Embrace Your Centered Self

aaron-blanco-tejedor-270469-unsplash.jpg

Underneath the layers of the years lies a pure place where no hurt exists.

About this Event

Within each of us is a shining, beautiful core that is joyful and bright, lacking judgement and full of love. We are born naked and vulnerable, full of need with open arms and hearts. Our first experiences with love can influence how we interact with others throughout our lives.

Our sense of self-worth and value is deeply tied to love. As we grow, we crave love in different ways and for different reasons. Frequently, we look outside ourselves for love and forget to connect with that love from within.

That's why this class will discuss the Fourth Chakra, which encompasses the heart area and is connected with warmth, compassion and joy. Physical symptoms include chest pain/tightness, lung and heart diseases, thymus gland issues and upper back pain. Imbalances in the Heart Chakra can manifest as:

  • Fear of intimate relationships

  • Reflexive, self-protective reactions to conflict

  • Depleting personal energy for the sake of others

  • Self-defeating patterns of behavior in relationships

  • Grief

  • Feeling isolated and avoiding social situations

  • Lack of empathy

  • Porous personal boundaries

  • Longing for what might have been

Clare Gardner Nieto, Spot's herbalist and flower essence specialist, will lead you through tools and exercises to help you connect with the deeply nourishing love that comes from within. She will also talk about herbal remedies and flower essences that help to rebalance the heart and lungs and soothe your inner child. This Learning Bar class is designed to help you be gentler and kinder to yourself.

This is the fourth in a series of classes focusing on rebalancing energy and health through the Chakra system. Although the classes build on each other, you may choose to attend one or all. No prior classes required. Keep an eye out for the Fifth Chakra class coming up this spring, which will focus on releasing the voice and finding freedom in speaking your truth.

Healing Family Trauma & Getting in Touch with Your Nurturing Self

https___cdn.evbuc.com_images_54577780_114368070413_1_original.jpeg

Join us for an event strengthening your Second Chakra and removing old patterns around family that are no longer serving you.

About this Event

Feeling a little depleted from the holidays? Even though they're supposed to be a joyous time of warm feelings of love from our families, the holidays can be anxiety filled for lots of us. Fear and disappointment abound due to unrealistic expectations and the repetition of old negative patterns that never seem to go away. Experiencing the dashed hope and sadness for "what might have been” every year can be frustrating and disheartening.

The Second Chakra, also known as the Sacral Chakra, is associated with emotions and relationships surrounding both the current family and family of origin. It is also associated with low back pain, menstrual imbalances, women’s fertility and issues with relationships and intimacy.

The New Year is the perfect time to begin to restore your personal stability, shed reactive habits, and cultivate your creative self. Becoming more nurturing, resilient and confident within yourself can help you to stop the cycle of madness within other relationships. Learn how to stop being ruled by your emotions and become who you really want to be within all of your relationship circles.

Spot's herbalist and flower essence specialist Clare Gardner Nieto will help you explore your Second Chakra and provide you with information on herbal remedies, flower essences and other tools that may be used to help support your lower abdominal and sacral areas. This Learning Bar class is designed to help you shed old relationship habits and get more in tune with your loving and nurturing inner self.

This is the second in a series of classes focusing on helping you rebalance your energy and health through the Chakra system. Although the classes build on each other, you may choose to attend one or all. No prior classes required. Keep an eye out for the Third Chakra class coming up this spring, which will focus on strengthening your inner fire and sense of self!

Empowering the Empath: Spiritual Boundaries for Sensitive Souls

Empowering the Empath.jpg

Join us for an empowering evening that helps sensitive souls set boundaries to lead you to healthy choices that support your well-being.

About this Event

“Don’t be so sensitive!” If you’ve ever received (or given!) this feedback, you might be an empath. Join Erin Anderson, Energy Alchemist, to learn more about how you can use your sensitive soul for empowerment.

We’re all wired for empathy. But some of us enter this life with our sensitivity knob turned up to 11. We’re like human sponges, soaking up the emotional energy of our surroundings. We experience everything intensely — not just our own feelings, but those of others as well. If we don’t know which is which, we can spend a lot of time trying to solve someone else’s problems. That’s when the world starts to feel slightly … overwhelming.

You don’t have to feel all the feels all the time.

Life doesn’t have to overwhelm you. It can delight and inspire you instead. Your empathy can be your superpower and your North Star. With a few tools to nurture, refine, and protect that power, you can:

  •  Feel safer and more confident in social situations.

  • Make healthy choices that support your well-being.

  • Recover more quickly/fully from emotional drama.

Oh, the things you’ll learn (about yourself)!

In this 2-hour workshop, we’ll cover 3 simple techniques to focus, cleanse and reclaim your unique, magical energy. You’ll head back out into this crazy-beautiful world knowing how to:

  • Release someone else’s energy from your aura.

  • Clear the emotional charge of heavy, stuck vibrations.

  • Use your life force as a shield against invading energies.

 Let’s get a little metaphysical.

An initiated Celtic shaman, Erin loves to spice up her workshops with elements of Earth magick, sacred geometry and sound healing. If you have any crystals, talismans, or tokens you like to keep close, bring them along. We’ll put them on the altar where they can soak up the yummy vibes of abundance, clarity, and healing!

Reconnect With Your Self Through Chakra Grounding

chakra grounding event.jpg

Join us for the first in a series of classes focusing on helping you rebalance your energy and health through the Chakra system.

About this Event

Do you feel like most of your energy is focused in your head? Do you feel disconnected from your body? Get out of your head and back into your body this fall with local Western herbalist and flower essence therapist, Clare Gardner Nieto. Feel strong, grounded and more aware of how you move in space as she leads you through an exploration of your First Chakra—also known as your Root Chakra—in this Spot Spa Learning Bar class designed to help you feel safer and more secure and present in your everyday life.

The class will begin with drinking a cup of burdock root tea to help welcome fall into our bodies. Then, you'll learn more about the Root Chakra and be guided through meditations and exercises that you can use to reconnect with your Self in your everyday life. Clare will discuss helpful herbal and flower essence remedies and give a demonstration on how better to find remedies that match your body's needs. Come and experience tools and techniques to help you get in touch with the strength of your own foundation.

This is the first in a series of classes focusing on helping you rebalance your energy and health through the Chakra system. Keep an eye out for the Sacral Chakra class this winter, which will address healing emotional trauma with an emphasis on family relationships—just in time for the holidays.
